During summer Marie and me had planned to visit a colleague of her, Romy, and Micha
which live in Dresden over a weekend; eventually we settled to go there on a
weekend in late August - coincidentally this weekend was when the city's
birthday celebrations took place, a fact that made the city's streets even
more crowded than they are on a summer's weekend.
