Start of May started with a Thursday as a holiday, so Marie and me took one
day of vacation and extended the following weekend. On that opportunity, we drove
all the way up to Stralsund,
in the former DDR.
I've been to Stralsund and to the Island of Rügen back in 1998 - many things have changed since then, most
noticeably in Stralsund where the city has been rebuilt and re-beautified within
the last years. Starting our tour from Stralsund where we stayed with
Marie's relatives, we did some day trips to Rügen (Seebad Binz, Kap Arkona)
and Zingst.
