Carnival came as every year - and while I usually do not participate in in wearing costumes - I would go to the Kap where there's the Fasching party taking place - almost one whole week starting Thursdays and not ending before the following Tuesday. These are this year's pictures from Thursday.

Leaving the Kriegsstraße, I finally moved into the Gottesauer Straße! It resides in the east of Karlsruhe - the so-called Oststadt, mainly pure living area, near the University of Karlsruhe. This basically means, there's less traffic, more pubs and many students around - an overall nice area to live in.
These are some pictures I took on the day Jan and I moved in - an extraordinary sunny sunday.

Wow, a lot has happened the last time - hard to keep up with it. In February 2007, I finally can move into a new flat, leaving Karlsruhe's Kriegsstrasse which belongs to the cities main traffic streets. You can imaging that due to the traffic, it's load and dirty there. Over the lasts few months, I couldn't wait for finally leaving that place.
So here are the last pictures I took there, the flat already empty on the day of the relocation. Thanks, btw, to Levent, Michi, my brother Maximilian and Jan to help me carrying all the stuff:)

From January 11th until January 13th the kap was celebrating its 25th birthday in a series of three nights with bands playing and DJs performing. I was there all three nights :), shooting pictures the at the first night, which was when Devin Dawn and the Patricks were playing.

On Wednesday, Timm was celebrating his birthday, as usual in the Kap, together with Julia, Isabelle, Yvonne, Christian M., Christian S., Christian G., Ruben, Olli, Gunnar, Nico, Michi, Frank, Kerstin, Alison, Claus, Tom, Jan, Thorsten and me.
This year he's been presented a drill machine :).
